It’s typical for a new technology to be adapted within a culture and used to support existing patterns of behavior. With your own relevant examples, answer these questions.

What kind of culture influences through technology can you see from today’s world?

critical reflection 1st:

If we can see the changes from the beginning of the technology era, people can see the changes in culture also. It’s because the technology, the thing that need to be done in culture is much easier. I give example to make thing clearer. In daily life activity, people communicate to each other to maintain the relationship, right?..Centuries ago, people need to meet or sent letter to communicate which it will take a long time to receive or delivered. By using hand phone to talk, now, people can talk at anytime or anywhere and in few second or in minute, people can communicate each other. in the past year, human(s) never thought picture can be delivered without make 2nd hard copy for it, but using email, people can send it in shorter time without need to make 2nd hard copy for it, the receiver will get it within few minute . Computer helps a lot. For example, using Microsoft office power point to create presentation slide, which by using that your presentation much smoother and you have confident to deliver it. To do the typing or writing, Microsoft word helps a lot. It’s easy then writing, not getting tired even u type a lot and it’s also neat and easy to read compare with handwriting. Now days, life getting much more easier when the technology come along with it. A lot of thing, that in the past is hard to be done, but now, it’s easy and fast. It’s also not impossible if one day, technology create a new world for human to live easily.

The changes in technology can influence culture and it also work other way. Life activity of human effected by technology. for example, people used television to watch news or maybe to get entertainment, and because of it, sometimes biological clock of human are not working well, it is because they sleep late and wake up late also. That is the disadvantage of it but without television even people will sleep early but they get less entertainment or information about current. Not too much for me to say, televisions bring family to sit and talk together. And the relationship between family member can be maintain even they studies oversee because there technology to use for them to communicated. In education, university students now days, used email to communicated with their lecturer, which it help a lot because the student can ask immediately about their studies. i do believe in future, students in high school also will use computer to send their homework. And teaching method will change into something more toward using computer. Technology can suite any culture because the user of technology now days come from different type of people, work, usage of it, age and many more. No matter how difficult of one culture to adapt it (the technology), eventually it will get use to it. The disadvantages of technology always have, in anything there must be disadvantage but human itself need to put the limit and control of the usage. .

Is there a possibility to reshape the (new) culture today via new technology, How?

to me to the possibility is there, maybe not high but the chances is there. it is because, the the changes of culture might get effect by technology. for example, children that study used book and write with pencil. if we give them to used computer, i do believe they will hard to except it at first because of need to learn new thing but once they get used to it, they might find that using computer make them more understand about the topic and easy to find information from Internet. the children also will thing using computer is easy to write because is neat and easy to ready. in future, the children might born with computer, if before this maybe 1 family have 1 computer but later on, how much computer their have base on how much their children they have. for the next generation maybe there no need school. teaching might be online. attendance been take by who online. and exam only they need to come to hall. other then that, all online method. the computer price maybe more cheap so that all the student afford to have it. the homework or assignment, all send through email and maybe any question can be ask through yahoo messenger.

These video explains the future in speeding money. There no need list to buy thing when want to buy glossaries. There no need to bring calculators to calculate the price. The idea for the future is really good in this video.

personal refection:

the submission of the essay make more student to come...hahhahahah....a lot of student suddenly....they cant ask they friend to pass up it because there need signature...huhuhu....this is the last blog assignment...huhuh..i try to do my best best...ermm...even the 2nd question is hard for me to understand...T_T.......but i try...the lecturer is good by delivered the information..i do understand,,,but the students it self...haihhhh yaaaa...need to put some focus mode when entering class that have huge a amount of student....overall.. in this class..i do learn something about the media..a new knowledge's for me....:)

Media Media imperialism is a theory stating that smaller countries are losing their identity due to the force-feeding of media from larger nations. It can be equated to small community shops closing down due to large superstores moving in, taking over and having a monopoly. As the larger mediam corporations begin to take over, smaller media companies are either being forced out or swallowed up. source - What is media imperialism?

from what happen on 9/11, this incidents create a situation that people used media to accused or create story that we don't know whether it is true or not. for what happen on that day, US try to protect they nation by searching Osama (the person that US accused the mastermind of what happen on that day), but none of the plan is successful. now days, people start to think whether the story that be create about Osama it is true or not.

people are still believe on what media delivered. no matter whether that is the truth or not, media are capable to make audiences to trust the news. that's why because of some of the audiences that find out the media delivered false information, they try to find the truth and tell the world so that people might change their perspective on the issue. now days, people are trying to find out the truth to prevent war or killing. the evidence is the thing that can make people trust the truth, without it, the news or the information is can not be trusted.

because the next day have df submission, a lot of student absent this class. class become more quite and a little bit cold. overall i think i can be more focus even it cold. to me its better cold then noisy.

in Marshall McLuhan theory there 2 type of media, cool media and hot media. the media application or medium or tool that i choose is

enhances :

communicated with people in private conversation and in high speed.

we can talk or communicated with other no matter how long the distance are. plus the conversation we can have even we in hurry to office or we in the middle of doing something because handphone is portable and can carry anywhere.

compare with normal phone that usually we used it in house, handphone is more used phone because the usage is not only talk but we can also texting message, playing games or even do video call.

i think the class is to small for big amount of student. at the back of class, students talk to each other make the class noisy and hard for me to focus in class to listen what lecturer talk. and i do believe some of them just come to get the attendance. and hope the lecturer ask them to be more quite so that others student can focus on study.

Obscenity meaning is legal context to describe expressions which term that often used; that offend the prevalent sexual of the time.

pornography is sexual show that have connection with sex that get exciting viewer.

indecency an indecent or improper act

those are the meaning or definition of those three word..the different in those three term is the media that been used to tell people about sexuality..like the pornography is using movie, book etc, obscenity using voice and indecency used their way of living, lifestyle..even it used in any way or any medium but the main is about sexuality.

those term is have similarity. the sexuality is involve. the different is compare with all of the term, the pornography is worst because when people heard the term, it make people think this show or movie will be bad influent for the viewer..now days people using Internet to find any thing...there no ages in using Internet..without parental view, children at below age manage to see those sexuality things such as pornography , obscenity and indecency..and there some in movies mostly, word that been used are not been censored and people might used it in they daily life....

What is Media Literacy and why is it important for you as FCM students to have it?

from Wikipedia, i found the meaning of media literacy. the definition is Media literacy is the process of accessing, analyzing, evaluating and creating messages in a wide variety of media modes, genres and forms. It uses an inquiry-based instructional model that encourages people to ask questions about what they watch, see, and read. Media literacy education provides tools to help people critically analyze messages to detect propaganda, censorship, and bias in news and public affairs programming (and the reasons for such), and to understand how structural features -- such as media ownership, or its funding model^[1] -- affect the information presented.

media literacy make us to think more deeply about the information that we get and turn it into a message that make others people think more deeply about the message. and in study, it help a lot. it help us to understand the subject more and we will remember lasting because we see, we hear and we understand.

as a FCM students, media literacy is very important. its because, we need all the method to understand the massage that been delivered by media. to understand the massage, i will make research then i will analyze it. to make me more understand on that subject, i will start thinking then from there if i still don't understand, i will meet the lecturer. if most student apply the method, i do believe that successful in studies is in our hand. i might also said that when i do my research, sometimes it help me to get the idea for my others subject. to me, media give big impact in my life. its help me a lot. media give the important role for me to understand the message that the artist try to delivered through artwork.

the topic in class make the students paid attention on it. because of that, student more listen rather than talking. i can be more focus when the surrounding is quite. the topic for this week make me want to understand it more deeply by doing research. from there, i understand it more better and apply it on my studies life..

stereotype meaning give certain characteristic to some group..it used to explain real or imaginary differences due to race, gender, religion and etc..stereotype can be occasionally positive or negative..when some people already put stereotype on one subject matter, its hard for others to change it...and who ever have the same characteristic will get the name or others give the same thought about them even they might be different with the stereotype..most of stereotype was a sarcastic jokes. that might insult or offence the person.

example is peter pan..the stereotype is sent smoke signals, lived in teepees, wore feathered headdresses, scalped their foes...this is the example of stereotype image of Native Americans.

critical reflection 1st:

No, because now days people can create anything in Internet. It might true but might also false. If u are web designer, u know well how to create the story and how to make it real. To me, even the side told that this is the official web side, i never believe it because from what i said just now.

critical reflection 2ND:

Again my answer is no. For example, in Malaysia, most artist got their own blog and told everything to their fan, but happen if someone create the same thing and claim that the blog is real and post bad thing?, can anyone came and say it that is not real with a prove?, get what i mean?. so what i try to tell is in internet you can be anyone and do anything, that because i never believe in internet.
